Chemagination is a creative innovation and writing contest for high school science students conducted by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and written with the National Science Education Standards in mind.

The New York Section of the American Chemical Society, ACS, will be sponsoring the Fifth Annual Chemagination contest, a science essay and poster contest for high school chemistry students, grades 9-12.

Deadlines:

  • Submission of the “Intent to Participate Form”: January 10, 2008
  • Submission of the “Article Submission Form” is February 14, 2008

Cellular Silicon -- 1st place winner

"Cellular Silicon", an entry in Medicine and Healthcare from Collegiate School, won first place in its category at the NYACS competition at St. John’s University in 2006. It was then advanced to the Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting (MARM) of the American Chemical Society at Hershey, PA in June 2006 where it once again won the first place in its category .
