“Chemistry, Climate, and Satellites: How Chemistry Helps us Observe and Understand Earth's Changing Climate ” to be delivered by Dr. Jack Kaye, Earth Science Division, Associate Director, NASA
The 2010 symposium provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate
chemistry students in the New York metropolitan area to present the results
of their research. The program described below included a keynote address, oral
presentations of student papers (15 minute talks each in small
groups), followed by a luncheon and award reception.

The 2010 symposium is being sponsored by the following organizations:
All abstracts need to be submitted by March 15, 2010.
Early registration is free for Presenters who are ACS Student Members, Mentors, Moderators, and Exhibitors who register by April 12, 2010.
If payment is not recieved by April 12, 2010, the student will not be allowed to present.
Alumni must pay an early registration fee of $25 by April 12, 2010.
Guests must pay an early registration fee of $15 by April 12, 2010.
The onsite registration fee is $30 for Presenters, Mentors, Moderators, and Exhibitors and Guests.
All student presenters must be student affiliate members of the ACS for free registration to the URS.
If you are not already a student affiliate member, please sign up for membership at the ACS website .
If you do not sign up for student affiliate membership, a registration fee of $30 is due by April 12, 2010 ($30 onsite).
The deadline for receipt of early registration fees is April 12, 2010.

If you are a Student Presenter, you must also submit an Abstract as a Microsoft Word document (.doc only).
The deadline for Abstract submission has been extended to midnight March 15, 2010.
Poster presenters: The poster boards are 4' x 6'.
Mac Users: Make sure your presentation can run on a PC with MS Office 2007.
