Assistant Research Professor in Ionic Liquids, U.S. Naval Academy
An Assistant Research Professor position at the U.S. Naval Academy is available to carry out research under several multi-year DoD funded projects studying the use and application of Ionic Liquids and related systems.

Current focus is directed at the generation of novel bio-materials using ionic liquid based processing methods. In addition, work on the electrochemical power applications of ionic liquids, evaluation of the physical and structural characterization of ionic liquid and related electrolytes, and the evaluation of novel alternative fuel systems is also possible. This position will entail carrying out state-of-the-art research under the direction of USNA Chemistry Faculty. It will involve designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, presenting results at scientific meetings, and writing manuscripts to be submitted to refereed journals. In addition, the position will involve the mentorship of midshipmen researchers.

This is a non-tenure track civil service position. The position includes office space, computer facilities, library privileges, conference travel support, health benefits, and a competitive salary. The position is currently open, and the starting date is negotiable. The position is guaranteed for one year, and it is renewable for up to 4 years. The starting salary ranges from $66,614 to $70,237, depending upon experience.

Adjunct in Chemistry (General and Organic Chemistry, Fall 2016), St. Peter's University
The Chemistry Department at Saint Peter's University is currently looking to hire part-time instructors for our General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry teaching laboratories for the Fall 2016 semester; classes begin August 30.
We offer flexible hours and a great work environment. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in industry or education. A Master's degree is required. Successful applicants must have excellent communication skills and a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level. Courses meet during the day.

Together with the Chief Scientist the position is responsible for coordination among hardware and software designers, user interface, protocol development, standards development, and quality control aspects as well as communication with clinical validation studies and user feedback activities. Requires familiarity with common biochemical lab equipment and techniques. Experience with optical spectroscopy and separation technologies are necessary.

Saint Peter's University seeks a lab operations manager to order/inventory chemicals, maintain our stockroom chemicals and equipment, prepare and coordinate teaching laboratories, pilot new teaching experiments and teach two sections of lab per semester.
