The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Queens College, CUNY is in need of 1-2 part-time instructors for general chemistry lab/recitation and organic chemistry lab during the fall semester in 2018.

The minimum requirement for this position is BA/BS degrees in chemistry or equivalent major, but higher degrees and experience in teaching will be advantageous.

Laboratory Coordinator - Wagner College

Wagner College, a private comprehensive college with an ACS-approved chemistry major, invites applications for a laboratory coordinator, starting late August, 2018. The successful candidate will act as the chemical hygiene officer, be responsible for maintaining departmental instrumentation, overseeing student help in the labs, and working with the department in developing new laboratories and obtaining new instrumentation as appropriate. In addition, the coordinator will teach 2 laboratory classes each semester. A M.Sc. in chemistry or closely related field is required.

High School Camp Instructor

Farmingdale State College is looking for someone to teach a one-week lab-based class at Farmingdale for high school student camp on August 13 to August 17. The camp has fifteen students who are on an honors track and will be taking chemistry in the fall. There are labs already set, or the instructor could suggest new labs. The pay is $1500 for the week and the hours are 9:30 – 3:30. The person would be teaching in the lecture in the morning, and doing the labs in the afternoon, with lunch provided. They had a person all ready to go, but she had a personal emergency, so they are looking right now for someone to lead the program. Lecturer - Physical Chemistry - Fordham

Lecturer - Physical Chemistry - Fordham University Position Description The Department of Chemistry, Fordham University (Bronx, NY), invites applications for a one-year full time non-tenure-track Lecturer position beginning Fall 2018. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Physical Chemistry lecture and laboratory courses. The position also involves some General Chemistry instructional laboratory duties. The department offers an ACS-approved B.S. degree.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry is required. Prior teaching experience is welcome.
